How do I help my customers use rowing to achieve individual and team goals?

Provide professional training options to customers

Often customers are dissatisfied with their rowing experience because they consider it a tedious task and can injure themselves without proper technique. Professional instruction improves their perception of rowing and can create safe learning environments.

Provide certified training to staff

Often facility owners, staff, trainers and therapists would like to offer row education to help their clients reach their individual goals. Becoming a certified row trainer is an excellent way to develop yourself as well as your customers.

Create unique team building experiences

Often business owners and employers struggle to engage their clients, customers and employees with meaningful team building activities. Corporation rowing can involve all types of people with varying skill sets, attitudes, goals and ideas. Offering this synergy developed through rowing can benefit your association, company, organization or alumni group in ways you didn’t know were possible.

Create unique challenges for colleagues

Often rowing is considered a tedious activity that is available for students and elite athletes only. Indoor and outdoor rowing can be gamified and provide unique challenges for everyone. Offering challenges that are specific to the needs and wants of you colleagues is a great way to engage your audience.

Certified Row Education Packages answer alot of questions

"Aha! So this is the Olympic rowing stroke."

In your master class, you'll experience and understand the benefits of the Olympic rowing stroke, and why it's considered to be safe, total body fitness.

What is the olympic rowing stroke

The Olympic Rowing stroke is a style of rowing most commonly used by elite rowers at the world championship and Olympic levels of competition.

Why is technique important in rowing

Not only does it allow you to produce more power, but also helps prevent injuries that can occur with improper technique on the rowing machine. The sequence of a stroke is the basis of good technique, which helps rowers translate to the water.

what is total body fitness

Rowing engages 85% of your body, and provides aerobic conditioning as well as strength conditioning. Rowing is a great calorie burner, faster than biking at the same perceived level of exertion.

why do people love rowing machines

The horizontal motion of rowing makes for a very low-impact workout, prefect for anyone with joints that protest on the treadmill or track. With no pounding on pavement, etc., rowing can be a great and effective way to cross train if you prefer high-impact modes of cardio or are an athlete.

"Finally, I understand what the rowing computer is telling me."

The Novice, Advanced and Corporate Row Education packages include tailored training plans designed to incorporate rowing machine performance data.

What is rowing machine performance datA?

Indoor rowing machines have integrated functionality that provides measured data such as distance, speed, pace, calories, and watts for each workout. Some suppliers produce high-definition display options, such as force curves, bar charts and paceboat/pacers. Modern 'performance monitors' now integrate with other smart devices and third-party fitness applications.

why is performance data important?

Measuring changes in performance is important for monitoring the progress of rowers during training and for research assessing the effect of training and other interventions.

what is a step test?

One interesting factoid is that your maximum heart rate can be different for different sports because of body position, muscles used and other factors.  So, doing this test on a treadmill is a good way to tell what your maximum heart rate is for race walking.  We care about rowing, so it is better to measure your maximum heart rate on the rowing machine. Based on your most recent 2K pace (or an estimate of it), a coach facilitates 7 – 4 minute steps starting at a low power/ slow pace and increasing by a set number of watts for each step. After 24 minutes of rowing, that pace will feel pretty hard and your heart rate will be reasonably high.

"I've always wanted to move indoor rowing to the outdoors."

Take rowing to the next level by inviting your colleagues and customers to learn-to-row during single or multiple days on the water.

What does a corporate learn-to-row day look like?

The option offers a unique program set to accommodate any corporation’s specific needs: half or full day event with flexible timing. Recognizing this takes place during business hours, this program is a favorite for organizations to bring in outside colleagues to have fun in a team environment. Your group will learn about the sport of rowing: the equipment, the basic technique on indoor rowing machines and an on-the-water experience to apply newly acquired techniques. The day will finish off on a high note with a race on the water.

What does a teambuilding row day look like?

This option offers organizational teams a chance to experience the sport of rowing first-hand under the guidance of professional coaches. Participants are divided into learning teams in which the ‘psychology of bonding’ are highlighted, and a discovery into their leadership style begins. Each team is introduced to the indoor rowing machine, the rowing shell, and is trained on how to row an eight person boat efficiently. As the day progresses, tactile feedback is used to improve the individual rowers’ skills. Focus and attention is shifted toward working together as a team.

Do you need rowing experience?

Not at all! This is basically a learn to row course with a little team building and competition thrown in for  fun. Most participants have never set foot in a rowing boat before their first class.

Ready to Row
